PicasaWeb to BBcode Beta v.1.b

Why

rss feed from picasa

Those who fell in love with Picasa and its web services already know that it is convenient and easy way to share your pictures. Unfortunately for those who want to share their pictures on discussion boards, Picasa has never been too friendly. Unlike other services, Picasa does not have preformatted for BBCode links to the pictures. Here is my attempt to solve this problem.

It does not matter if you like it or not, post your thoughts here.

Oh and i forgot to mention, the linking part is broken. it makes the url the same as the username but that isnt necessarily the case: My username is [ Anton ] but my adres is anton_w

Hi,
Handy lil tool. I would suggest that you also make the "original" size available. (I post my images on flickr @ 800 max width because my board only allows for that maximum size)

NOTE:May, 12th 2009. There is no quotation marks around url by default anymore (for better support in phpBB and other forums). Option to put quotation marks is still available.

@48Josip
Well there is an option like that. Anyway, You're not the 1st to ask about that, so by default it does not put quotation marks anymore.

BBCode generated with your script contains quotes around URL, which is not supported by SMF forums.
Maybe would option like "Put quotes" fix problem for SMF users?

Hi, any way of developing a similar thing to allow picasa slideshows to function in forum posts that have enabled bbc code but not html??

Would you be willing to release your code_3F I have been looking for something like this that I could host on my website. I would enter my userid into the configuration and my visitors could automatically navigate through my PicasaWeb albums without leaving my site.

You're welcome. Thanks for feedback. I have couple more things in mind and I hope they will make this service even better.
Please note, I add features as I go, so some down time is possible.

Hey, you changed things mid project on me! I really liked the way you had it before with the information below each picture. This new way will take some getting use to. I'm not sure I like it, but I'll give it a chance! Thanks for doing this.

Can you make the preview pictures bigger_3F And, could you undo the foggy preview picture affect_3F It makes it hard to see my pictures.

2 jay gee.
You need to point my service to link on your main Public Gallery page.

I had this in mind, just did not have time to implement. It is on To Do list.

I keep getting: XML file(http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/jaygee/albumid/5173688713561997025/photoid/5173702582011395826?kind=photo&alt=rss&hl=en_US) was not loaded!

When I try with an RSS feed from one of my picasa albums.

Am I doing something wrong?

first of all BBcode is a huge help.

one thing i would like to see is somehow being able to have mutiple links to copy at once instead of only one by one.

thanks
